How many of us allow our fears & doubts to run ramped in our minds? A pile of thoughts that have us second guessing our choices, the situations we’re in, and even our selves as a whole. Are we even good enough? Are we capable? Did we make the right decision? Oh shit...now here comes the guilt trips & the mentally crippling anxiety galloping in.. Why do we do this to ourselves? Our mind is our internal home, it’s how we process our life, our emotions, & our world day in & day out. Our mind is the powerhouse of our existence & how we choose to live out our destiny. I think it’s kind of rude how Fear invites it’s self into our sacred space without an invite or warning, than invites the rest of the gang to come check out this new vessel it found for them to leech themselves on to. You wouldn’t allow that to happen in your actual physical home, would you? HELL NO! Before we allow anyone to enter our home, we usually have gotten to know this individual, created a relationship, & instilled some sort of trust within this person. More times than others this individual proceeds into our house as a kind, considerate guest. If not, we firmly ask them to leave. So why would we treat our internal home any different? We shouldn't!
Before we let Fear & Doubt barge in & create a chaos in our minds, we must stand firm in it's way & say "Hey! I think it's time we get to know each other.." How many times do we allow fear to come in to only make an emotional mess, yet haven't asked where it's coming from or who brought it to our front door anyway? How well have we've gotten to know our fears, other than the fact that we know it tends to dominate our internal dialog. It's time to turn the table on Fear, it has no right to over power you in your OWN mind, in fact it's not even welcomed! So allow yourself to become the director of your own mind & ask this unwanted guest a few questions:
-Where are you coming from? (Is this a conditioned belief from childhood, a traumatic situation, a hereditary mindset you've inherited, someone else's opinions you're allowing full access to your thoughts, etc.)
-What are you preventing me from accomplishing? (Is this fear blocking you from achieving personal goals?)
-Are you actually a valid, realistic obstacle, or one that has become fabricated over the years? (How long has this Fear been spinning it's web in your mind? Is it realistic, or have your emotions just 'made' it real?)
-Why do you distract me from listening to my higher self, that knows what's best for me? (Fear & Doubt continue to thrive by keeping you in the same position, if you were to overcome them by listening to your higher consciousness, this would cause them to lose their dominance & evict them from the comfy home they've created in your mind)
Just because Fear & Doubt speak louder than our own personal thoughts or higher awareness, does not make it justified to hand over the ownership of our minds. We deserve to prosper, each & every one of us, no matter the personal turmoil we've been through. We are all deserving to reach our highest potential.
So next time Fear & Doubt come knocking, challenge them to identify themselves with these few questions. This will allow yourself to gain clarity & understanding of the journey ahead.
