Retrograde Season 2020- Internal Discovery

Let's briefly talk about this grand retrograde season we just entered last week. Within a matter of days we received 3 planets, Venus, Jupiter, & Saturn, beginning their retrograde phases; emerging us deeper into the shifts 2020 has in store for us.

Retrograde season teaches us about the ebb & flow of life, and how the circulation of energy is an ever present constant. Energy flows in two continual directions, progression & regression. Without one direction balancing out the other, the cycle of energy cannot continue. Progression being the direction of forward external exertion & regression directing the energy back around in internal focus, allowing progression to occur again. We observe this energy flow in all that is; from day to night, summer to winter, the life cycles of plants, to even our planets, and most importantly; ourselves. We too, go through our own rhythm of momentum & reflection, action & rest. As it is highly important we honor the phase of internal focus so we can redirect & realign ourselves to our highest potentiality.

Retrogrades are by far nothing to fear, once you accept this as a season of rebirth & renewal of self. If we wish to bypass this cycle of self reflection, & try too hard to ambitiously achieve, resistance naturally occurs to send you back to the drawing board, with a dose of humility, to reanalyze what obstacles (internal or external) are preventing the progression. This resistance usually occurs from things that have outlived their purpose in our lives & are no longer serving in our soul's path.

Let's start with Venus Retrograde in Gemini. Venus will be stationed retrograde in Gemini until June 25th, within this time we are rediscovering the value within ourselves, our relationships, revaluating our finances, & redirecting our personal values. As our lives have been changing immensely this year so far, our priorities & values have naturally redirected themselves. Under Venus Retrograde this is a good time to revaluate our personal needs & desires. With Venus in the sign of Gemini, this is a great place to begin bringing more open communication & expression of ourselves & our needs, in order to create more balance within our personal lives.

We might notice that a lot of truths within our relationship are coming to the surface as people feel pushed to express themselves & their feelings. This time can truly aid in alleviating & resolving tensions in our relationships. With the power of Gemini we can step towards these heavy conversations with an open mind & allow ourselves to take into consideration both sides of the situation. This will leave room for us to rediscover the value of the relationship or allow us to peacefully understand the depths of this relationship so we may lovingly remove ourselves, if need be. For the easier relationships in our lives we will be able to root ourselves deeper into appreciation & even find new ways to be of service to our loved one.

Overall Venus Retrograde is here to remind ourselves of self love, as this comes in many forms. Whether your finding yourself taking on a new skin care routine, creating new boundaries in relationships, developing healthier habits, picking up new hobbies, or rediscovering old ones. This time is all about developing a stronger sense of self worth, commit to the things that make you feel passionate, purposeful, and most importantly authentically you! Gemini energy is always picking up something new; take this time to discover new things, or rekindle an old hobby that brought you pleasure . Whatever you choose to do under Venus Retrograde, don't dim your light!! This time will remind you how to shine & keep shinning that beautiful radiant light that is YOU.

Let's move on to Jupiter & Pluto Retrograde, I'll address these two together since they're in such a close conjunction, their influences will be entangled within another. Jupiter Retrograde in Capricorn will remain until September 13th, while Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn will last until October 3rd. With these two planets stationing retrograde together, Jupiter is assisting us rediscover the truth behind underlying internalized habits, belief, behaviors, patterns, & our most hidden parts of self which stem from Pluto. Understanding the 'why' behind our deep soul ties to these supressed part of ourselves. By bringing the truths behind our shadows into our consciousness, this allows room for us to analyze what they've been preventing us from obtaining.

Under the determined & rational sign of Capricorn, there is no room to hold on to these obstructions, for it's counter productive to the goals we have set in place. This creates the time to immerse ourselves into our hidden realms and decipher what no longer resonates, what conditioned mindsets do not serve in our growth & development. Jupiter is the planet that yearns for expansion & assists us discover the endless possibilities we are capable of. This retrograde period of Jupiter will help us discover the most authentic path that will rightfully serve our soul's growth & evolution.

Lastly we have Saturn Retrograde, Saturn will be stationed retrograde until September 29th. Within this time Saturn will start it's retrograde in Aquarius and end it's retrograde back in Capricorn. Saturn retrograde may feel the stickiest of them all. We have the vision & desire to push ourselves forward, to create new changes, & to take on different priorities, but Saturn will serve us with challenges to double check & revaluate our plans for the future. As I meditated on Saturn Retrograde I channeled, 'pay attention to the pushback', this was it. I think we can all unanimously agree that 2020 in general has been a challenge thus far, but through it we've been able to learn a lot lessons in both a personal & collective sense. We've received a taste on how to innovatively work through these unforeseen obstacles & continue to push forward. This is the same momentum & mindset to bring into Saturn Retrograde. We may not be able to control unpredictable limitations, but within these experiences we unravel the greatest lessons that allows us to create a more proper solution.

As we develop stronger self worth (Venus), discover how to stay true to our authentic self & potential (Jupiter), & as Saturn squares Uranus we might feel the need to suddenly break away on to a new path. Saturn will help us reflect on our personal structures & how we work towards our goals. Do we easily get discouraged when faced with challenges? Do we tend to stay within our comfort zones? Are there boundaries we need to set in place when dealing with fears (Pluto)? This is a time of personal reformation & deciphering how we can show up in alignment to our goals & this new path unfolding. Allowing pushbacks & resistance to be the teacher as oppose to the finish line; how do we need to refocus our responsibilities, mindsets, & personal determination to manifest our visions into reality?

Overall, the beginning of retrograde season paves the way for exponential growth & discovery. This year is saturated with potential for monumental transformation, but the internal work is essential to align to the abundance that is waiting for us on the other side.
